Showcase your surgical procedures & new techniques at IPITA 2021
We are calling for surgeons and isletologists to submit short 2-minute videos to be included in a new "How I do it" Pancreas and Islet Video Session.
Submission Deadline: Monday, August 23, 2021
We welcome videos on any novel procedures in the field of clinical pancreas or islet transplantation. Below are sample topics the videos could focus on:
Tips and tricks about procurement: how to assess the pancreas and avoid IRI
Back table - how to assess blood flow to the head and IPDA
Y graft atherosclerosis: how to deal with it
Exocrine drainage techniques
TPIAT
How to deal with unusual anatomy
Increasing back table efficiency
How to manage enteric leaks
New Islet Isolation techniques
Any novel procedures in the field of clinical pancreas or islet transplantation
All videos will be evaluated by the Scientific Program Committee (SPC).
Shortlisted videos will be played during a live session with the presenters invited to take part in a moderated discussion and address questions from the audience.
Other submitted videos, accepted by the SPC, but not shortlisted for the live session, will be made available for viewing on the congress virtual platform.
Submission Guidelines:
Video must be maximum 2 minutes and narrated in English
Video must be submitted in MP4 format
In addition to the video, a narrative abstract must be submitted to provide information about the procedure and technique used
The title of the video, name of surgeon(s) and/or co-authors, institution where the surgery was performed, and the location (city, state/country) as well as disclosure of any conflicts of interest must be displayed at the start of the video
There is no limit to the number of high-quality videos any one individual may submit
Videos accepted and/or presented at other non-IPITA events are eligible
The video must be HIPAA compliant. Videos with identifiable patient information or features will be rejected. Patient name and personal information must be obscured
